Hi Heidi

As a publisher he probably thought "this is going to earn me a lot of money"

I do not know if anyone has worked out the rate of sales before and after the event but suspect sales where increased well after the event.

Hi Heidi

As well as been published in a book, William Stead who was of course on the Titanic also told a similar story which was serialized in the paper he edited.

Also he was foretold the tragedy before it happened.

Hi Gary I doubt it is just fire fox unfortunately, Personally I don't use that program, but explorer does of course use tabs as well. I cannot see why that should be a problem apart from it could of course log you out on opening the board depending if you stay logged in or not. As I say I use explor...

Hi John and Gary First the quick reply, Notepad is a program automatically loaded with windows. Go to start and programs and it will be there, or many times it is in the start index. It basically is a HTML editing program, you could of course use Microsoft office note pad which is slightly different...

Hi Gary this is a common fault, I have it many times with this board and it makes one very uninterested in doing long posts. Unless you type very quickly Had it today twice in reply to a post of yours in another area, and that was a short reply The sooner we stop using this board the better to mind,...

Well said Gary Most people here know my views on the topic, not just should it be raised but should it be left alone. I totally agree it should not be dived or raised. Would you do the same to any of your relatives or friends loved ones etc in there graves?? no I doubt it unless you was a grave robb...

HI Gary Yes it is my opinion and that is allowed here still isn't it. Yes there will be mixed feelings and I am sure the posters who never posted before will also have a say as usual. but at the end of the day it is JOHNS decision and now it is definitely his decision alone. Why give him a hard time...

HI Lights Smiths views can and could be taken many ways, and I am sure if you search around this has been discussed to the hilt in most areas. In his interview he states yes that he cannot see any event why a ship should sink. ( that is not a quote ) I do believe in a sense he believed that yes, Tod...

Hi GAry You seem to be missing the point here all together. It is the size of the thread that has to be scrolled down and loaded that people are pointing out not contents etc, so a person does not have to read or post there to see it. A bit like now you have made your avatar bigger it takes longer t...

HI Lights Although I am confused now I do agree with your last post fully. The main problem again here is how...

Hi Lights So was Thomas Andrews. Still, I suppose that according to the information available to them, she was. Thats an interesting comment, I doubt Andrews had any thoughts that the titanic was unsinkable, He did believe which is what he designed for and others did as well that the ship would floa...
